Is it just me, or is Red dead redemption really boring?

How in the hell is the multiplayer fun? It's basically GTAIV's mp and well we know how that turned out.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I found RDR's multiplayer (as well as GTAIV's) to be a lot of fun. All I did was the free roam on both game though.

In RDR, it's great when you can get a couple of groups of random players to start fighting (I had a memorable 8v8 at El Presidio, all random players). Sure, there are some griefers (and they are pretty easy to deal with tbh), and the world is somewhat lacking (I wish there were more civilians, instead of just sheriff/mexican army).

I also loved every second of the single-player, and I just recently started going through it again. After the story's over it gets a bit stale, but that is to be expected from this kind of game to be honest, it's not an RPG like Morrowind or Oblivion.

Oh I found it fun also but there isn't really any set gamemodes or anything. It's just running around, killing spree madness. Which is only fun for the first fifteen minutes and gets old quickly.

Yep it's just you.

RDR is one of the best games I've ever played and for sure the most realistic one. Truly awesome

I'm playing through Undead Nightmare at the moment, it's equally awesome.

My friend got that as it was cheaper than the original game and I did find myself getting kinda bored.

Though I have to admit I think it was more do to a greater interest in the God of War series. I had recently bought the GoW Collection, and GoW3. (Cheap to. 3 games for $40.) I never played them until recently. Glad I waited seeing I got HD versions right from the get go. :)

I'll try and get back into it at some point, but I'm back to Assassins Creed now. Another title I started to play then stopped. (Before I had my own PS3. Was a pain borrowing the PS3 for long gaming sessions when it's on almost all day downstairs normally.)

I may split the cost with my friend for RDR at some point but it's no longer high on my must have list as it once was.

Nobody even tried to do the objectives and half the time you are getting ran over by a car. Not sure if GTAIV had auto aim also, but what's the fun in playing RDR when you have auto aim? Yeah it's cool pulling the trigger three times.

There ARE different gamemodes, but from what I saw myself, most people stayed in the free roam. I never played the different gamemodes myself, I just don't see objective based gametypes in RDR (or GTAIV) working very well so I stayed clear of it.

It's much more fun with a couple of friends of course, as it is with most games.
