LOD replacers?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:12 am

So ive been looking for the best LOD texture replacement out there compatible with QTP3. I was checking out the QTB ( better tiling ) but apparently thats only compatible with QTP2.

Maybe im missing something here but I seem to remember pairing my QTP3 with 2 or 3 different LOD texture packs. ( noise replacers? normal and color maps? )

Thanks in advance :)

Oh and while im at it, to run OOO with MMM do I need to create a bash patch? Or do they intergrate themselves?

It's not that it's only compatible with QTP2, but that it has already been included in QTP3. The final version already uses the non-tiling techniques that were developed on all the textures that will benefit from them, so there's no need to add that mod.

Frankly, I've seen no need for any LOD texture pack since the last patch, when Bethesda added the noise replacer to the textures. I find Koldorn's Noise replacer to be all that I need. I used to use Shaja's LOD textures, but the graphical improvements it provides are so minor now that it's not worth the performance hit to use them.

MMM has plugins that allow it run with OOO without having to go through any drastic measures.
