It was funny how happy everyone seemed in Cyrodill considering the gates to hell had opened :hubbahubba:

New voice, same guy who did the Morrowind acting just get him to lift it a bit, not quite as low.

Hell yeah! Although I do agree with some people here that a new voice would be very interesting. The Dark Elf races aren’t the posh accent type though so I would get as far away from that kina voice as possible.

I, too, loved the Dunmer voice in Morrowind.
It had so much more... personality, so to speak. Really gave them a grim feeling, which is very in touch with their cultural characterization.

"Under sun and sky outlander, we greet you warmly"

The raspy voice is awesome. But it might be tiresome after a while.

Whatever voice is fine. Bethesda just have to realize that the Dunmer are supposed to sound bad-ass and not like a goddamm bosmer.

It should be a mix. The Dunmer in Morrowind had rhaspy voices because of ash from Red Mountain. The Dunmer from Vvardenfell who live in Skyrim should have rhaspy coices, and the rest should have a voice not unlike the one in Oblivion, but a lot cooler.

Also, can we have at least 4 voice actors for each race and six this time? Please?

Then why doesn't a Nord who's lived on Vvardenfell his entire life have any crunch in his voice? What about the females? If the ashy environment is indeed the "real" explanation then I think it's horribly inconsistent.

Anyways, I do think your last paragraph is very agreeable.

Well I heard it somewhere a while ago when Oblivion came out, but I'm not sure if it's true. It seems fairly reasonable, even if they didn't think it out when deciding on their voices.

This lol and we all know they used skooma pipes and bug lamps more than other peoples, not one in oblivion lol.

(Without starting a war between Dunmers and Argonians(, which the Argonians alredy won)): The Dunmer voice is completely over the top in Morrowind. Do not bring back that rough voice it sounds horrible and doesn't fit Dunmers at all, it's like hearing a cat bark.
But Oblivions wasn't good either, but it was better imo, but that too didn't feel like Dunmer, especially the Flying in the sky singing.. Drives me nuts.

Wooah! They sounded so much more raspy before. Also is the AI that much more complex on PC or did:
A) They simplify it a lot for the final product
B) They just detail that woman and her dog for the video??

Because the PS3 obv AI seems much simpler.. Ive never even been invited into anyones home :(

Oh and finally I vote for a new voice.. not the chiper regular joes from obv... but not the throat cancer patients either... something sinister.. and sly.

That video showed off the original implementation of Radiant AI. But, as they kept developing the game, they found out that Radiant AI didn't work out so well. The AI would end up breaking quests, and important people were getting killed. So they had to tone it down a lot for the actual release of the game.
