Kilts

Personally I don't want them. In my mind they don't belong to the game universe and wouldn't fit in to Nord culture as it's been presented in previous games.

I think you've suggested this more out of nationalism than anything else.

Daggerfall had kilts; Morrowind had skirts that looked like kilts except for texture. Oblivion only had long skits and only for the ladies, however it would be no problem with kilt length skirts as many mods have added them.

This sounds like a good subject for a mod, not for something included in the basic game.

This is supposed to be Skyrim, not Scotland, in case nobody noticed. I've already had about enough of those silly Scottish kilt-wearing bagpipe-honkers disturbing the peace and quiet in real life. Maybe, just maybe, I can picture it in the back areas of Highrock (which had a stereotypical "British Isles" flavor), but not in Skyrim.

bagpipe honkers? I dare you to walk down the street in Glasgow saying that...besides the Claymore is Gaelic in origin... do they not belong either? or how about braided shoes which are simply ghillie brouges with a different name. or how about the morrowind nords who speak with a scottish accent? but hey dont mind me im just from the blood of pipeblasting mangy Scots right? btw, i hope you enjoy your refrigeration, bicycles, Tarmac roads, metal hulled ships, cast steel, telephone, radar, logarithms and much more. All courtesy of us haggis munching sheep lovers.

The whole idea with kilts is ruined because of the very likely permanent underwears, the idea is to turn your back to your enemy and taunt them by showing of your bare ass, along with anything else that mgiht be seen from behind, making the enemy completely  and :verymad:

I'm not a direct fan of kilts, but I guess it would be better to have skirts change into kilts rather than the unisix thing we have going today.
