I downloaded CM Partners that had the most endorsemants but everytime I found one there was twins. I couldnt fix it so I just decided to look for another companion mod.

You probably enabled both the essential and non-essential versions of the various esps. Try using http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097 to install http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7819. You could also give TheTalkieToaster's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3066 a try.

Sadly I dont know how to use OBMM. It confuses the [censored] out of me.

Just a friendly suggestion... learn how to use OBMM! If you want to run modded Oblivion, I would consider this a prerequisite. Plus it is relatively easy to install and use (at least the basic functionality). Also, Wrye Bash and BOSS. It is my opinion that trying to run modded Oblivion without these is asking for trouble.

sommner42's suggestion is probably exactly right, so you shouldn't give up on CMPartners just yet.

As for alternate companion mods, have you considered any of the single companion mods, like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28977 or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15200?

'Toaster says share' is the only companion mod that doesn't annoy the $#!+ out of me. It lets you get any NPC to join you (as long as they like you)

I often start off the game by making one character 'fullactorcopy' myself, then make another character via console, and recruit myself as a companion.

I figured it out. I get irritated if I dont understand things immediately thats why I gave up on it. Now i feel retarded it was easy lol.
