Realistic Physics and Force Package

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:02 am

There is this great mod called http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5197, unfortunately there appears to be problems with SI as seen from the comments. I hear there is a fix for one of the older versions (version 3) but version 4 remains without a fix. Can anyone help me understand what I need to do to fix it?

Realistic Physics and Force also has a conflict with Race Balancing Project, Slof's Robe Replacer, and another mod I can't remember at the moment...

What's this v3 and v4 you mention. I've only ever seen v1.0 of RP&F, and that's from 2006.

Realistic Physics and Force Package is sort of version 4 of Realistic Ragdolls and Force

@Fiore

I wasn't aware of those incompatibilities, but I recall testing the SI fixed version 3 of Realistic Ragdolls and that worked fine with RBP. Not sure about the robe replacer though, maybe the same problem that causes problems with SI is causing problems with those mods.

To be more precise, Realistic Physics and Force as well as Realistic Ragdolls and Force ships its own skeletons (if I remember correctly), also for NPCs and the player. So of course every mod containing replacement skeletons for those (robe replacers with robes rigged to tail bones, custom races like the Demon Race or others, RBP in newer versions because the Demon Race became part of it, etc.) will replace the ones shipped with this mod and thus cause incompatibilities. The only thing is I don't know how severe these might be, as I don't know what was changed in the actor skeletons at all to begin with. In the average case those changes will just get lost.

So does anybody use this mod? I would like something that fixes the "moon gravity" of Nirn (maybe Jode and Jone affect the gravity on Nirn or somthing? But that wouldn't even make sense, because it would be tidal and change throughout the day!)

So what is the best version or mod to use for a realistic physics package? Or is it not even a big enough deal that many people use a mod? :whistling: (Oh, don't mind me, just taking a stroll with Neil Armstrong here!)

I have http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5011 which has several diff options for different levels of force for weapons/magic and body lifting and also a more recent version http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21572 which has very simplified options so I'm not even sure if it's for the same version or if it is intended to use with the rest of the files from the first (but only fixes some of the esp options)... The readme isn't really clear on that point.
I haven't seen ver 4 yet, though I see there is still an incompatibility(?) with SI... So now I really don't know which one to use.

From "Ver3 Fixed for SI":
This is just a small fixed version of the Realistic Ragdolls and Force Mod v3 to make it compatible with Shivering Isles, and I'd like to share it with the community. I only changed te creation date of the files so the game thinks the meshes are newer then the meshes from SI, so the meshes from the mod will be used.
All credit goes to the original designer: Bandit426

Actually, I use Realistic Physics and Force 1.0 and I have no problems with it.
I guess ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa is doing it's work.

Only real conflicts are with one midas magic skeleton I guess.

And I also use Race Balancing Project with both above.

However, my bain order has Realistic Physics and Force install on top of the two. These are the only conflicts:

= Lower ==========================================232== Race Balancing Project 10,5 - Installation Files Complete.7zmeshes\characters\_male\skeletonbeast.nif==295== Midas Magic Companions v4.0.7zMeshes\Characters\_male\skeletonbeast.nif

If I see anything weird in game I guess it's just a matter of moving the Realistic Physics and Force BAIN Package below those two, and anneal :goodjob:
