Oh my, someone who does not like Teamwork type games, calls Brink unpolished, lol Brink will be one of those games where you hate it or you love it, Lone wolves will hate it, people who love teamwork will love it.

Shouldnt the fact that he compared it with etqw be good? Some people didnt like it, but you would have to be a fool to not realise it was a massive sucsess.

One thing he said stuck, he said the map did not encourage use of s.m.a.r.t, If you know a thing or two about parkour It is that the more you practice it the more oppurtunities you see. Im willing to guees he just didnt see the oppurtunities that was there.

Also I agree to the list of things posted earlier.

He compared it more to the form of "you like it or you don't" and I am not a fool but I also never got the memo on ETQW either. My bad. LoL.

Also, I know what and why the spawn is what it is. I understand that trust me. I even made a post asking what people thought to hear MORE about it. I am just saying that you can never really take a game at full face value anymore. Epic type games are few and far between. With the amount of time and effort put into this game, for them to say it felt UNPOLISHED as apposed to RAGE that does, makes me wonder.

That's all.

And yes....I am getting the game. had it preordered since last year.

I play both styles....and will be just fine running around like a chicken with my head cut off shooting anything on the other team that moves.

That guy musta' been smoking an entirely different weed than me.

Haters gonna' hate.

But anyways, most of the things he got wrong have already been brought up. I do realize some genuine concerns about the game, and he does have a right to express his opinions, but I COMPLETELY disagree.

It really only takes a few things to turn people off from this game and what he experience could be what a few hundred people experience too - it's really going to be like he said a love or hate game and easy for us to say otherwise but the dude actually played it - those COD fans may not like this game to much though, lol.

The guy sounds to me that he's just a single player type of gamer. While Splash Damage has tried to make it easier for people to get into Brink who don't enjoy traditionally enjoy multiplayer, I don't think it will be enough to make a huge difference at converting people. At its core, Brink is a multiplayer game which is going to put off people used to playing by themselves in single player campaigns. I'm not quite sure why they didn't send somebody who likes online fps with team elements to play the game, but all I really get from his impression of Brink is that the game doesn't appeal to him. Which is ok, as no game appeals to everybody.

As for the "lack of polish" he states, I'm thinking it's mostly detailed graphics that he's talking about. While Brink doesn't look bad by any standards, it definitely doesn't have the "Wow" factor that games like Crysis 2, Rage, and Battlefield 3 have. That being said, not every game needs a ultra realistic hyper detailed graphics engines with all the latest tessellation and shader/particle effects to be polished. Brink's art and graphics direction is really a delivery platform for gameplay experience they are trying to create; simple(ish) so you can tell what is going on without being sense overloaded. There really is no need to excessively turn up the graphics detail when it may serve to distract the player.

All I'm really in it for is the multiplayer gameplay anyway; something new to play after 1400 hours of TF2 and 350 hours of BFBC2.
