if i had to guess, i'd say around 2-2.5 million, total sales, across all platforms, within a year.. Im hoping that is a low guess, but we will see.

Thanks, I'd happily bet that there are a lot more Brink pre-orders in the USA than that, that or you yanks just don't like new things.

Terrible sadly. I pre-ordered at gamestop and they told me they wont do a midnight release because there has been under 20 pre-orders. I live in Austin, Texas. [pretty big city]

...im english too D:

ANYWAYS :3 160,000 is actually quite alot preorder wise, as I pointed out earlier Homefront had only 80,000 and went on to sell over a million

Oh yeah its a lot, but I just don't think that the number is every pre-order in the USA.

This would be my estimate aswell, and potentialy more depending on reviews.

As for pre-orders being low for ps3.. I would think its obvious why those pre-orders are so low..

Seeing as Brink is second ONLY to Gears 3 (keep in mind how big of a franchise Gears is), I would be surprised if it doesn't sell pretty well.

it should sell really well on pc. as for console itll prob sell well but might not sell as well as other games like crysis 2 and homefront since its a teambased game and isnt getting alot of publicity.

Interesting thought, but read a little earlier in this forum and you will notice a link to pre-order sales. I did a little compare and contrast. Brink already has more sales than Crysis 2. The real intriguing fact about that? Crysis 2 had around 81,805 for Xbox pre-orders with one week to go; Brink with three weeks to go had 164,720 for Xbox (these pre-order sales are the ones in America only).
P.S. That is more than double the pre-orders for Brink, and there is no game leading up to Brink nor is it well advertised.

Yeah, I bet that ate into a lot of steam sales and I usually order from steam but not this time because I needed 3 copy's makes a big difference. I like others have said the only outside advertising I have seen is from gamestop locally here.
