First, I need to clarify that this suggestion is based off the assumption that Daggerfall, if properly ported, could function as a DLC on all current generation consoles. Now, I'm no programmer and I understand very little about what it would entail to reinterpret such an old software in terms of modern technology. However, seeing that a game like the original wolfenstein 3d for DOS got successfully ported as a DLC, I'm inclined to believe that it would, in fact, be doable. This, even though my instincts tell me that Daggerfall was infinitely more complicated, from a technical perspective, then wolfenstein ever could be.
Cutting directly to the chase here, my question is the following:
If fans were to get together and convincingly demonstrate that that they'd be interested in such a product and again, assuming that it would be technically possible to do so. Would you, Bethesda, be willing to -consider- the possibility of a ported Daggerfall remake, one intended as DLCs for the current generation of gaming consoles?
Thank you very much for your time and responses.
P.S. I think I make it obvious enough in the post above, but just so it's clear, I'm not expecting any sort of official commitment, as of course, such a demand would be unrealistic. Rather, like I explain, all I'm asking is whether or not Bethesda would be willing to consider the possibility of this happening, granted that enough interest was generated from fans and console owners.
P.P.S I'm also interested in hearing what all you forum users have to say on the matter. However, please, no pc elitism. I know that many of you oldschool pc gamers are very conservative about your titles, but were this game were to undergo a modern remake, excluding the possibility of console DLCs just wouldn't make sense in light of today's gaming industry. Of course that's not to say that a windows remake shouldn't be considered. Although, I think this has already been done, though by fans and not officially
