Why not? Most are just animated whatevers. You can find something anyone might like. Unless they are some of those who harbour a grudge against anything remotely animated close to a Japanese style, because a Pokémon ate their dog or burned their mill or something...

I've never really been able to get into the art style of it. But, maybe I'll have to give it a try, since those movies always come up.

About a boy
Megamind
Howl's moving castle

Netflix keeps recommending this to me, I think it may be time to watch it.

Good Will Hunting!

Don't think I've ever seen this all the way through, should be a good one.

"A Knight's Tale"

Absolutely love it, one of my favorites.

Just finished watching Almost Famous and it was perfect, definitely what I've been looking for. I also watched The Pursuit of Happyness, which was also great. Will definitely be checking out a lot of the films you guys have recommended thus far, thank you.

Pretty Woman. It pretty much embodies a feel good classic.

That reminds me to second the recommendation of "The Wedding Singer". I don't like some of Adam Sandler's movies, but he and Drew Barrymore are good in this one.

If we're talking romantic comedies, "Return to Me" (David Duchovny and Minnie Driver) was an enjoyable one, set in Chicago. "Sleepless in Seattle" is still a good one.

"A League of Their Own" is pretty heartwarming and funny.

I'd also recommend "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" as others have in this thead. Terry Gilliam has an amazing imagination.

I know you said you don't like old movies, but it's impossible to watch the Marx Brothers without feeling good.

Day at the Races, Night at the Opera, Duck Soup, Horsefeathers and Monkey Business are the best.

A good choice; you can tell De Niro was having a blast with his part and the chance to go over the top.

This reminds me to recommend "The Princess Bride". A guaranteed good time. ("Hold it! What is this, a kissing book? Where's the sports?")
