Trouble with facegen

Post » Wed Jun 16, 2010 3:42 pm

I downloaded a text file listing the values needed for a face I wanted to use. Thing is, it's impossible to get all of them correct since all of the sliders are tied together (and some values aren't even close to being correct when all is said and done). So is there a certain order the sliders have to be moved, or a mod that makes all of the sliders independent?

I have fought with that thing and the one in CS is a little better, but it doesn't give you complete freedom, either.
I assume you are using it for your Player char?
If so, you might actually save yourself time and frustration if you DL the actual FaceGen(demo) program, then get the FaceGen to Oblivion converter utility, and have it apply the face to your save file.

You can't do it with ordinary mod. It's FaceGen SDK issue(well, FaceGen works like that way, SDK or standalone).

**Using FaceGen Modeller and Facegen to Oblivion converter is working well(though you need to adjust face in-game to make it look right), however if you're using any custom race with custom head mesh, the result may not be what you're expecting.

But it's not possible, in-game or with the facegen program. The sliders just won't cooperate.

Where did that screenshot come from? If it came from another Savefile, you could just copy the face from that file with FaceExchangeLite, as long as it's the same race... if you got it from the screenshot, then there is nothing to do but get as close as possible using the sliders.

Though if you had a decent frontal view of the face with a right and left profile pic (optional) you could use FaceGen to generate the face from the pic. The better quality the pic the better, but the one you have might even work. Profile pics would increase accuracy, too. You can do this with any decent set of pics (with nice straight angles). That's why you can find mods all over with celebrity face packs already. You have a few options.
