How to Put the Consumer at Ease

Post » Sat Jun 19, 2010 5:08 am

Now it is. Before, it was not. It doesn't matter if it's substantial information or not. We want feedback. Even if it's "Hey, we're starting the update" or "Okay, we found the glitches out. Here's what was found."

We're being updated because finally, we're getting an update overdue.

I don't get your thinking. You are expecting good customer service from a company that released... well, we all know what has happened. It's crazy. You're talking to a guy who has no information, or does have info and can't give it out. You might as well walk to the nearest wall and start talking to it, save your fingers the exercise.

We know what they are, we know what they offer us and we know how much it costs. You can take what you know and use that information to your discretion. I know how i'm going to use it. I feel like i've been robbed and stuff like that sticks with me for a long time. I take it personal and I don't ever forget it. Short of the president of both companies coming to me personally with an apology and a new car, I will not buy a single product from these yahoos again and I will tell everyone who will listen what I think of them, for a long time.

I doubt i'm alone in this, and word of mouth, bad taste in the consumers mouth is going to hurt this company. maybe not now, but it will catch up fast.

An apology would really go a long way to fix this strained relationship, I feel that denying the widespread nature of the bugs contained in NV on launch only serves to anger players (paying customers), who make up a good portion of the fan base

The latest update is 10 minutes old. We're trying to provide updates whenever we have substantial information to share.

Again, we're shooting for next week on 360. As there's more to share, we'll post here in the forums

We never get any real info other than next week or coming soon. All they want are updates that tell them exactly whats happening not just we want it up in the next week

So, again, we get vague answers as to when the patch is going to be out...Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday...hmmmm...maybe Thursday or Friday, we are just not sure yet...we may wait till December 21, 2012 and hope the Mayans were correct and we won't have to put out a patch...Thanks for that great update...I could have given that update myself....

LOL troofe3069. They don't get it and it's sad. An update that says nothing (Essentially every update Gstaff posted) is just as good as no update at all, and sometimes worse. It angers some people by bringing the issue back up in their face without bedding any of the frustration down. Other people kiss his backside and thank you sir him for what is essentially nothing.. very strange is human nature..

Don't hold your breath. Both Obsidian and Bethesda have demonstrated many times that they simply don't give a [censored] about their customers once they have their money. Expect to see more false promises as the DLC date approaches, only to discover that the DLC supposedly contains the game fixing patch, but it unfortunately adds many more game breaking bugs. At this point they will restart their previously stellar customer misdirection program with talk of another "soon to be released" game fixing patch that will never actually eventuate, but will be talked about by Gstaff until the release of the 2nd DLC. Then repeat process for further DLC.

I would REALLY love to be proved wrong here, but Bethesda/Obsidian don't seem to be too worried about customer service now that they have all that money from the sales of a deliberately prematurely released game that is STILL horribly broken.

Really? if that was the case then there wouldn't be a patch period. Letting us know a patch was coming within this year shows they do care about the gamers. Along with they are reading the issues mutple of gamers are having.
Another thing blame the holiday season to as they were rushing to get the game out to get sales instead of taking there time with the game. Would have gamers begging for FNV release by week of christmas of this year. As the Holiday season brings in the profit than the other months you get money from.

I already proved you wrong.

So the patch fixes all that eh.
Probably would have been easier re-writing the game from scratch.
I mean, come on...how many bugged quests?
It just shows what a complete balls-up they made of this game altogether.
