So i was thinking about the old RP's we've had here while looking at my game collection. I remembered the huge success of both TES Bioshoc and TES Fallout and how adding new world element and transforming Tamriel into something fresh and wonderful can really inspire the inspiration of the people who participate. The one thing that I wondered however, as I looked at my game collection, was why it isnt done with more universes? Bioshock and Fallout arent exactly compatible with the universe of TES, but it worked. So I thought, why not Dragon Age: Origins? We have the toold in place to convert the Dragon Age universe to the TES world. The dark fantasy epic would be a perfect overtone for a TES rp i think.

For example, the Chantry's role could easily be filled by the Imperial Cult/Nine divines etc, the Circle of Magi could be the mages guild perhaps. The Dalish elves could be replaced by a wandering Bosmer clan faction or some such. The Qunari could be an unknown race of man from Atmora, or perhaps simple nords. Theres a whole plethora of things to experiment with.

As for the Darkspawn, who knows, perhaps they could be Daedra, or something new entirely depening on the time period (for example, something that escaped the infernal city).

Just a rough Idea, open to debate and input. I'd love to create something like this though.

Seems pretty cool to me. I don't know if I'll have time to participate seeing how semester is going to start up again soon, but being a big fan of Dragon Age, I think it's a great idea.

As in for a play-by-play RP?

Sounds good to me. I love Dragon Age and I'd definitely participate if you got one going.

You actually made me realize just how similar the two are, for some reason... I mean, there are obvious differences, but you can draw a lot of comparisons. I think they would mesh together rather well. I was thinking about something like that myself, actually--wondering how my TES characters would interact with the DA plotline--but I always get caught up in my SoA/TES idea again.

Anyway, if you make a convincing start for it, I would be willing to participate. I think it would be fun.

There doesnt seem to be too much interest so I think we'll have to let this one slide.

I actually borrowed DA from my friend and was snowed in for 4 days of the school week, allowing me to play it for 17.5 hours. So I would be interested. It's a great idea. However, there are about 4 or 5 RP's going on right now, so I would save it to a later date. Don't just let it pass permanently though.

Agreed; we just don't have enough RPers to realistically maintain five RPs at one time. However, I too would be interested in this, so perhaps once a few of the RPs settle down you could host this one I am an avid fan of Dragon Age, though I find it too similar to the Wheel of Time series to call it original But yes, I would be happy to participate at a later date

Hmm... I guess I'd have to actually finish the books before I could partake though :sadvaultboy: Well, at the moment I would be torn between Aiel and Tuatha'an. Though I suppose one is much like the other, all things considered Some Shienarans would also prove some good old fun

Well, I've returned, and just got my Walking Arsenal of a Breton Warrior rejected. I'd be up for this game. Hopefully, the similarities won't be restrictive (TES: Warhammer and TES: Warcraft don't get along because of the completely incompatible lore)

Of course, what I really want is for someone to re-create TES: Fallout.

I myself would love to RP, but I don't have enough time. If I did, a Dragon Age type would be really fun, though. Unfortunately, I'd be a bad RP member bc I would not be able to participate enough--especially when spring arrives and the weather improves.... However, I enjoy reading them.

If an unforseen event occurs, tell us and the OP so hopefully somebody will Character Control your Rp char for the time being if you wish.
