Is this an actual location on the world map? I have the explorer perk but I don't see it on my map?

its not a location per say , its just a place across the river of the south ranger station , there are a zilion deathclaws (about 30) and the enclave power armor and some energy weapons

Yeah, it's not marked on the map. It's northeast of Cottonwood Cove, across the river. Get ready to fight the biggest mob of Deathclaws you've ever seen. Oh, and if the bodies (one of which has the Enclave Power Armor) don't show up for some reason, just save and reload.

Isn't there power armor in dead wind cave? Maybe it will be easier to go that route instead...

Brotherhood power armor.

The T51b in the promontory isn't marked as brotherhood and I don't believe it affiliates you with them when you wear it (not sure don't have training for it), the remnant power armor next to it has the highest DT in the game for armor.

If you can do the cave you can do the promontory, provided you're smart about it.

I'm about to do the cave is it really hard? You say if I can do the cave I can do the promontory is the cave full of deathclaws?

yea they are both full of deathclaws, including deathclaw mother and daethclaw alpha's, the promontory has way more deathclaws but they are spread out in an open area making it possible to snipe them all, and the armor you get at the promontory is better, the cave has t45 armor whereas the promontory has t51 and enclave armor both of which are better than t45

Just bring lots of frag mines, a sniper rifle and Boone!

I only found 2 energy weapons and alot of deathclaw eggs at this location. Checked the bodies and nothing. Sure there is armor here?

Found the armor. Go to the very end of the paths where 3-4 deathclaw eggs are on the ground in a nest. Turn 180 degrees and look next to the rocks leading towards the middle pathway. Should be on the right side (opposite water) with 2 dead enclave soldiers lay. Hope this helps

Where are the bodies supposed to be? I have cleared the area of deathclaws, but I don't know where to look so I can't even tell if the bodies are there.
