Brink will have better weapon/character customization, the weapons will be not so unbalanced like the shotgun and sniper rifles of Crysis 2.

have you played crysis 2 at all?
i rented it and personally did not like it one bit. the single player did not keep me entertained and i tried over and over to get into a multiplayer game but i couldn't get in. i played the multi in the demo and it wasn't great. didn't feel new. just cod with higher jumps pretty much.
all this is just my opinion.
in the long run, i really think brink would be the better choice. the level of customization, ability unlocks and the fact you can have 10 seprate characters to focus on different play styles just makes me moist

First of all you would do well to not post your titles in all caps. Good way to get a mod on your case very quickly.

Secondly, I know nothing of Crysis, but I imagine if you have to ask, you've done no work for yourself, and therefore you shouldn't have to make us do the work for you to get an answer. http://www.fragworld.org/frag/community-blogs/brink-info-pt-1-story-gameplay-smart-classes-and-objectives.html was posted in your previous topic; you will learn much about Brink from it. Read it twice, and please don't post until you do. Not trying to be offensive, but we're kind of sick and tired of these kind of threads being posted by newcomers who don't take the time of day to research anything. Thanks.

Just to play devils advocate, through numerous gameplay videos, i've noticed some inconsistencies with BRINK's animations.

It looks as if they've been optimized for online, like something you'd see in TF2...except when i'm playing single player, I expect the whole single player experience to be there.

It looks as if they've been optimized for online, like something you'd see in TF2...except when i'm playing single player, I expect the whole single player experience to be there.

Personally, I was constantly irritated by that fact that the AI could perform more actions than I could. Part of the appeal to me in this game is that all the 'bots will behave just like me; guns are always high, can't dodge more than I can, pass out buffs and complete objectives the same was as I do, the whole shebang.

In Halo Reach, it constantly irritates me that the AI Elites are so epic in their dodging skills and that fails to carry over into multiplayer. When Noble Team is able to lower their weapons, I am always reminded that I cannot easily replicate the effect. And that is completely uncool.

The real storytelling in Brink will be in the cutscenes, I think. Everything else in terms of the gameplay is identical regardless of how you play it, single, co-op, or multiplayer. That's the most likely reason you see them as being optimized for online play... because they are.

Watching gameplay is one thing in learning about a game. Doing research on the developers' website(s) and third-party sources (both fans and critics) is far more in-depth; it will explain to you why the game is designed the way it is. If you agree, buy the game. If you don't, don't waste your time. It's that simple, really.

Stop ignoring the people who are giving you advice on how to conduct yourself in this forum. Most of the people talking to you on this topic about what to do have been here for a long time and know what they're talking about. Stop being ignorant to their comments just because they didn't give you a nice answer.

You'd be wise to listen to them too.

I have crysis 2 on ps3 and it is a good game. But if you are talking about the single-player, then maybe it be at par or slightly better. But I have played the multiplayer and I can tell you this from first hand experience, it will not be one of those games you would buy let alone talk about because of the multiplayer. The Multiplayer is a one trick pony, with only the suits abilities and thats it. The guns are plain and not exactly customisable. So in MY OPINION get Brink.

I play Crysis 2 and invisibility with a guy holding a machine gun should never exist in fps and that's all I have got to say about that.

Played a lot of Crysis 2 and it won't last. the SP is awesome though, lots of freedom on how to tackle firefights, beautiful graphics, about an 11 hour campaign. It's definitely worth a purchase. the online is tricky and takes a while to get used to mostly because of the cloaking. The weapon selection is pretty weak but i liked the way they handled the "perks" and "killstreak" rewards, gotta pick up dogtags from players to earn the killstreaks. keeps the campers from dominating. But once you've found a good playstyle and learned to mix it up with the armor and cloak abilities it can be fun. But i'm sure Brink will kill it online, it's offering something different from the rest of the shooters out there. has a lot of style.

best part is i can dust off my mic, its annoying that the only games that seem to have any communication are COD and Halo ( just what i've been seeing lately).

i want Ghost recon and Rainbow six back dammit.

Crysis 2 was a flop.

It's as simple as that, if the franchise was unknown, their sales would've been much worse. The singleplayer is pretty good though, but, multiplayer-wise, garbage. Graphics wise? Bottlenecked.

I dislike COD, and I thought Crysis 2 was a poor man's COD.

Brink certainly looks miles better and much more unique however you can't judge what you haven't played, so fingers crossed Brink delivers.
