I'm going to be honest, I can't stand this website. Cluttered, headache-inducing design, ridiculously long URLS (http://www.fragworld.org/frag/index.php/frag-directory/fragcast-weekly-podcast/images/stories/components/com_jreviews/jreviews/views/themes/default/theme_images/community-blogs/component/opinion-editorials/panda-clan-webcomic/weapons/barrett-light-rifle.html?!) and my internet can't even handle it - I'm lucky if it loads more than a page, and it refuses to load ANYTHING from the armory.

You guys seriously to trim this thing down a bit.

I have to agree with Super Pangolin. The site i rtespect because it is fanmde but it is cluttered and slow. Some friendly suggestions: Make Each section a big page coverign the whole screen with descriptions and a picture (if provided) and a 5 star rating system. The review should only be for the devolpers or mods of the site. I really didnt want to read it incase my computer froze so... any info regarding this i will be totally OBLIVIOUS to,

Wow I don't blame you. If I had to load that url I would probably shoot myself.
What browser are you using? That url for me and most people would be http:/fragworld.org/frag/weapons/barrett-light-rifle.html
I have no idea how you got one that long and I didn't even get a theme loaded up and I have fiber. Shoot me a PM and let me know how you got to that url and we'll be happy to fix it.
We are doing a redesign so it possible there are some bugs. Unsupported browsers like IE8 and those with javascript blocked out do have problems but you should get a message telling you its unsupported.

Here is what the category page http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/5403/brink2.jpg and detail page http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/1447/brink1.jpgshould look like.

We definitely want to know if something is not working or if people have suggestions so we can fix it. Feel fee to PM me here or use the contact us on the site. Let us know what browser you are using.
Thanks for your feedback.

*update* Our tech guy also has told me that since our web server is in chicago people far away esp during times we have much traffic will have problems. We will be upgrading with the new web design.
With our Brink and coverage of other games being so popular we have had a big surge in visitors. We will do our best to get those upgrades in place.

Don't really see why you couldn't just put all this stuff in the Brink wiki...

Probably because we are not affiliated with Wikia and we cover many other games besides Brink.

Wikia is a commercial site with its own advertising while we are a not for profit organization.
Also we use a database which has advantages over a Wiki system. For example you can search via gun types and also see what other games have similar or exact guns using our tag and advanced search features

Just an FYI, all links to websites like this can be posted http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1112398-brink-fansites-clans-tournaments-and-forums/.
Titled 'Brink fansites, clans, tournaments, and forums'. This site would fall under the 'Fansite' category.

There is a mistake with the Barrett. The picture for it is a Resistance Drognav with a Snoop-R Scope.

That is correct and per the forum moderators any specific contents such as videos, interviews, questions, discussions go here.
We are already listed on that thread you provided as we are a fan site.
This thread is for the purpose of people providing feedback to the items we have listed. Any corrections or things we missed .
We have tried to put all the weapons, abilities, trophies in one place for people to view.

Unfortunately H0rse who made the compendium has a new job so we have been trying to pitch in and help out with the Brink coverage. Like with our Video Interview with Splash Damage at PAX East.
We were a bit spoiled as he was really on top of everything with Brink.
We always welcome additional volunteers. :woot:

Let us know if you find something new and we can add it and people here can benefit from the information as well.

Go to http://brink.wikia.com/. It's way easier to navigate and has much more accurate information. I'm really getting excited for this game now.

I see. I would really suggest putting the info you just told me in the OT post, this should help keep away the Mods.
And its too bad to hear about H0RSE and his busyness. We can't have this! If he leaves, we need over 9000 bodies to cover for him.

In all seriousness, I do appreciate the amount of work being done to keep people up to date on the game, because there is really so much information going around.
A lot of people tend to get confused, and I myself have mentioned something without knowing it got changed.

I wish I could be more helpful. But just like H0RSE, I'm busy with other things.

Also our list of questions for the PC answered by Richard Ham should be out this week.

I have to say, much as I appreciate the site, and what it's doing, and the fact that it provides great info...

It's still terribly laid out, and Super Pangolin gave good reasons why.

Streamline the coding, make it load faster (sitting and waiting literally 5 minutes for a page that has almost nothing but text and occasional hyperlinks is NOT good web design).

Yes, I will continue to use the page, yes it is a great resource, but no, it isn't well put together in a technical sense. You could do with working on that.

Ugh. As much as wikis sometimes get on my nerves the fragworld site (including even the compendium) is just bloody painful.

Even if the compendium contrubutors don't update the wiki, others will and thank goodness for that.

"Aquarium/Monorail"?
Just sayin': The whole Ark is connected through Monorail. There is a Monorail station at the Airport as well.

"Founder's Island"?
That's a picture of the whole Ark. The tower in the middle is the Security Tower, which is the name of an actual map.

It's a great idea and I like it. But the points raised about the site's design and structure are all valid. There should be some better software out there that you guys can use. Might I also add that the images and detail are not all that great either, this project would perhaps be better saved for when the game releases? For example I click onto the C-U-Gone Red Dot Sight and am greeted by a grainy screencap from a trailer and no extra information other than a smaller version of the name of the item. There is no mention of character classes, tips, skins etc.

I realise it's in beta but these are valid suggestions for the future all the same.

The site is straight joomla so we didn't do any fancy coding quite the opposite.
Our server is in Chicago. Those in Europe and especially Oceania will have longer load times until we upgrade our dedicated server, which hopefully will be soon.
We are working on a redesign with a new theme but if you have something specific you want taken out,we will so our best to do so. We have tried to stay away from any advertising but with our upgrades I think we will have to.
As far as pictures there aren't that many out there of the maps mostly concepts and a couple screens. Anyone can load additional pics in our http://www.fragworld.org/frag/community/photos.html?groupid=15 if they have better ones.
The content and pics like the wiki are put up by normal users or our staff and then reviewed by our editors when they have time. We will continue to try and clean everything up, make it load faster and make the layout more user friendly

In the jackets section you got two pictures of the "Look", and the "Straps". May want to fix that., unless I'm missing something here and thats meant to be like that.
