When they say add cheat mode 1 at the end of the z file, what do they exactly mean? Are you suppose to rename and add the cheat mode 1 at the end of the name or something? Sorry for asking such a noob question.

1. Find z.cfg in your dagger directory
2. Open it up in a text editor such as notepad
3. Go to the end of the file, hit enter to add a new line, and type cheatmode 1
4. While you're there, go ahead and make another line and type magicrepair 1 as well. (this re-enables the repairs items enchantment)
5. Save the file and exit.

Uh, sorry for asking another stupid question, but how do you do the gold trick? Every time I hit ctrl +9 it closes the game.

Or any of the ctrl cheats for that matter...

You'll need to remap the dosbox commands, good luck with that as the dosbox key mapper is the worse in existence.

Yea, it would take you less time to make that amount of money in the game than it would to remap the keys

So I can't have my money or godmode? Damn!
