What really would improve SKYRIM

Post » Thu Jul 08, 2010 2:51 am

After reading several posts, I noticed that a lot of those who post do question certain features of skyrim,
as the weapons, the races, the market system, the alchemy, the spells etc. Some doubt that these will improve.

But there would be a stunning simple solution to this problem, just to release DLC, that simply improves this certain aspects of the game,
and you are to chose if you want it, or if this would be important for your gameplay or not.

Not just simple Extensions like new questpacks, as shivering isles was. Something like better or real weapon balance system,
better economics, the hyper (not yet ever seen) AI, the better landscapes and dungeon pack, etc.

In two ways this would bring more relief to rpg gamers.
First, Bethesda is pressured to deliver high quality content, in order to make money, and thus has to stick with Skyrim.

In the second place, the community would really have a competitive fellow, always trying to reach for the better mods,
perhaps even sell them for some bucks, if they are well done.

Like everyone else has said, mods on the PC. But DLC on the consoles like that would be tough because they have to be cleared by Sony and MS before they are put on the Marketplace

As long as they add first person body awareness I am happy. All the parameters like economy or leveling can be fixed with mods, FPBA however is hard as hell to mod into the game (as evidenced by Oblivion).

They may as well not release Skyrim then, just sell us mods for Oblivion.

Oblivion couldnt handle this. I'm talking about download content, your able to look into its content and features online,
and install it via web browser. An easy way to install, and to be able to decide exactly what you want to have within the game, especially in case of a conflict.
no more bashed patch (which is indeed easy once you know), no more garage tools, and totally unknown causes of CTDs.

If you'd manage this technically, easily Skyrim could evolve over time from a mainly story driven Grand RPG, to a full RPG universe.

I would not pay for simple tweaks to the game. Especially when hundreds of mods do the same thing for free.

Yep Mods FTW, i would mind Oficial MOD all condensed into a "hardcoe pack" modders should get some for their work too, in the end they sell more Bethesda products.
But yes, if you want to have a better, more complete, more interesting and more beautifull game, you ll have to have a PC that can run Skyrim.
