I thought I had started one of these before but I can't seem to find it, might havebeen too old and gor dropped off.

In any case this will be a good place to discuss various certifications and exams in a single thread. not sure how popular thismight be but we cangive it a shot.

I am planning to take the compTIA Security+ exam in a couple weeks and I am nowhere near prepared. I get a big discount by buying the voucher through my school but I am not too sure I want to take it this soon. The exam changes which will cause all my material to be old and possibly much of it will have changed. I plan to redo the certification when I get done with school in 2 years anyways (plus they expire every 3 years so this works out). I took two practice exams and got between a 40% and 67% which you need an 85% to pass. I keep reading but I don't think this stuff will stick for the test.

Can you guys recommend any online materials to study? I am currently uses thr Sybex test kit which has a review guide and book of labs and the Exam Cram book right now and the test banks from both sources. I plan to start the lab book next week and hopefully that will help me. Should I still buy the voucher and do the exam anyways even if it changes over using my current material or just scrap the idea and pick it back up later on in the year?
