Mostly stealth.

My race preference also depends on the playstyle.

Combat = Nord
Stealth = Wood Elf
Magic = Breton

I always play as a mage, but I prefer to use a sword a la Gandalf.

I don't like using heavy armor, I would guess thief/mage, but more of a light armor/robe wearing, sword wielding, magic using, agile/fast bada**.

Nightblade Dunmer from Morag Tong so definitely Mage/Theif

A Nord Warrior Mage. Strong enough to best a Redguard and cunning enough to outcast an Altmer. Although, too bold and valiant of a character to ever consider being a thief.

Warrior with some mage.

Short/long sword with a shield. Some Destruction magic for support.

I want to try Mage/Theif but I don't know how well the skills will complement each other. In Oblivion I basically ended up doing a mix of everything. It will be nice if I can shift into mage mode after an initial surprise attack, etc.
