My problem, my controller doesnt work either so I need a new one AND I cant afford the offcial sony one until the end of the month. I saw a cheap usb supported controller called Tomee. I have heard no word of this, so it is most likely not true.

I know there is an adapter coming out that lets you use wired Xbox controllers don't know if this helps or not

I have a PS3 third party wired controller, but seeing as how PSN is down and I can't update my firmware, I can't confirm this for you.

They're cheap, but no where near the quality of a real Sixaxis. My right stick won't register until about 1/3rd of the way tilt. svcks hard for aiming because it then kicks in at that tilt so there's almost no precision.

Coincidentally, I've started using movement to correct that aim and it's thrown off more than one opponent.

Simple advice.

1. Go to store after PSN has come back online and your system is updated
2. Ask about compatibility of their PS3 controllers.
3. Store person tells you "fully compatible with current firmware"
4. If it works, you have a controller. If it doesn't, the store lied to you, thus entitling you to a full refund even if they would normally have a "no refunds" policy.
