class balance issues?

I confirm this, without a source. But I do.

More backup from me on this.

I thought it was on one of the Brink Bible updates - did you read both of them?

I know it's been mentioned in interviews as well, and I've seen it on the forums and elsewhere. If I run into the link again in my travels (unlikely at this time) then I'll post it here.

Me, three! :intergalactic:
I've heard it from one of the devs posting on the official SD forums long while back (when the Ready and Able video was out, I believe), but I can't remember the thread to post the link from.

I think the Brink bible update 3 (or was it 4 or something?) might have mentioned it was out a while back....

Sit back and watch.

If you think about it there WILL be competition for the higher missions, a big race to see who can get it done. I can see some fun times if friendly fire was on and we had 4soldiers and 4 operatives :D.

Meanwhile., you'll be racking in the points like no tomorrow, completely uncontested... enjoy it

We're... planning to play the wrong game if reaching the level cap is all it takes to de-motivate one from being a victory driven team player :shakehead:

Class balance issues will work themselves out. Either people will realize they svck as a light operative and actually try something else, or they'll quit and go back to CoD. Since they'll have to wade through being a medium for 7 levels and potentially test out being heavy for 2 of those 7, the tide of light operatives might not be as high as we fear.

I read some where that in matchs the whole team can not be one kind of Class I think I read they will only allow 3 of the same class at a time so balance will be good .

for example, you join a match and your teams has 6 operatives, what do you do?
is there some way to have class balance when playing random match.
i know that you can change class at any time at the comands posts but since people have upgraded thier abilities to a specific class type, can this be a problem for teamworker players

class balance issue settled easily if your in a game with say six operatives and two engineers well people like to win so someone will switch because without a soldier you cannot do the main objective of the mission sure ops can go around the sneaky way but

without health buffs and explosion your sure to lose or at least someone reviving you so you can staqy high numbers in an area to fight if a team cant figure out that they need at least one of each class they deserve to be slaughtered i personally think you need

one op (me) hehe three medics two soldiers and two engineers maybe three engineers because they seem to have to most work cut out for them probably the way to grind levels on this game actually umm you only need one op due to the fact that its a class of

pure stealth their only needs to be one ninja sneakin around hackin makes it much easier for me to do my job...holla at me on the ps3

If you have 6 operatives hope they kill the enemy team and keep the attention off of you. And pray the 7th guy is a medic and you do the main objectives. That's the best thing you can do in that situation. But I really don't want restrictions. Having to adapt to an ever changing battlefield is part of the fun.............even if 6/8 of your team is selfish....

I'd rather not have any sort of restrictions put in place, but maybe a bonus system, if you switch class to a much needed one, you get bonus points on top of your play.

The new direction of gaming is reward the good players, don't punish anyone.

It actually works like this.

Probably a wise idea.

In fact, you're quite mistaken. Whilst Scouts work sometimes, a team only composing, say, Soldiers will destroy absolutely every opposing team that is not specifically constructed to counter that, and I've played multiple games where a team entirely composed of Medics (yes, TF2 Medics) can win a game, even on attack vs. Engineers, Snipers, Demomen, Heavies, the lot.

Class rushes with anything except Sniper and Spy are very, very effective.

You obviously have never had to face the dreaded spycrab rush. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1qPn_OJT30

But anyway, in TF2, there was no class that you were literally required to have. In Brink you are required to have all 4. Both for team dynamics and for objectives.
