Catching up...

Post » Fri Aug 06, 2010 7:35 am

Hello,

I′ve returned to Oblivion after several months, and Im quite impressed how much the mod scene evolved during this time, with mods like Onra′s Tamriel heightmaps or Waruddar′s CBash. Im doing a bit of catching up, so after updating all my mods, Im looking for some realism suggestions, like a hunger mod (COBL compatible, if possible) or a fatigue mod. For Sleep I already use TheNiceOne′s excelent Real Sleep Extended (and Im really looking forward Duke Patrick′s Basic Hypothermia : ) )

Im also looking for mods that add factions or quests geared towards more peaceful, cleric like characters, perhaps like the quests the Imperial Cult gives in Morrowind. Finally, some mods to improve alchemy in game.

Thanks!

Here's what I put in a different topic.......
Besides all the UOP's, OOO, MMM, Cobl, EVE HGEC, Roberts Male, Better Cities etc. I really like this little combo for PC immersion (Although I haven't play-tested them a great deal):

Alternate Start by Robert Evae *spelling?*
FF Real thirst Cobl (requires FF Real Thirst),
Real Hunger Cobl,
Real Sleep Extended,
Realistic Levelling,
Realistic Health,
Realistic Fatigue,
Inventory is a backpack,
Duke Patricks Actors can miss now & Duke Patricks Combat Archery.

EDIT: Oh & I've just added TheNiceOne's Map Marker Overhaul - Now you can get lost...no I'm not being rude you really can!

You might like the new alchemy features of Unnecessary Violence II.

Actually, I wasnt following this mod because usually Im not focused on combat/violent gameplay, with more peaceful chars.. but the alchemic, thievery, performance and merchant skills left me  Thanks for developing it, instant install when its released : )

There's tejón's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20850.
It's fully compatible with COBL, features blurring when your fatigue is low, faint, needs (hunger and sleep), and fatigue influence on magica, all customizable with an ini.
The Roughing It plugin lets you sleep almost everywhere.

For alchemy, I use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10147, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11145 and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11183 by haama

For Alchemy, I would suggest http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25226. I ran across it about a month ago, and I love it. It allows for much more tweaking of potion values, the saving of recipes for quick access, and the use of potions as ingredients (though I haven't fully tested that yet) among numerous other features. In my opinion, it's the best functionality-related Alchemy mod out there.

Wow! Nice suggestion, Mr. Bibliophile. I thought I was all set with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16441, but this takes everything to a whole new level. And, not only is it compatible with Grandmaster of Alchemy, but it's actually recommended to run it along with this one! Excellent!
