these forums are so bad.you get your topic locked for know reason..posts deleted for calling someone a noob how is the word noob bad it just means if your new at thing and don't know much about..... this thread would probably get locked and i might get banned for posting it lol its funny how most of the threads are locked though and if you post about a clan you must post in a thread that has over 20 pages comon either make a separate thread like on the ea websites where clans can make their own thread and try to keep it active this way people will know which clan to join and how active they are....... :grad:

Yeah, calling someone a troll or a noob might get you in trouble.. So try not to do it :P

And I guess they just lock excessive topic threads? I have no idea really, but sometimes I do see locks here and there

there is only 1 thread needed for clans...why does every clan need a seperate thread? clan websites surely is all each clan needs? not a thread on every forum

I find it hilarious when newbies come on this forum and just rant about "this forum svcks" because they're used to uncontrolled forums like that of COD

The only threads that get locked are those that are irrelevant to Brink, or those that already have an open thread on the same topic. Just use your head (and the search bar) and you won't have any problems :foodndrink:

Read the stickied topics regarding the forum. Funnily enough, they explain a lot of this.

Topics are locked after a certain number of posts (200 I believe), because after that topics have mostly dried up or are going in circles (and new people seeing the thread for the first time are unlikely to read all those pages, so they often contribute to the above).

Don't call anyone names. This isn't a place for being personal, rude, or even for banter. It's just for talking about Brink.

(Now, if I can be nitpicky for a moment, partly to assauge my OCD and partly so you know this for the future, shani00353, 'newb' or 'newbie' means someone who is new. 'Noob' or 'new player' is a derogatory term.)

not really how are people suppose to find a clan thats suits them through 1 post?? and some clans don't always have a website and a separate thread you must keep posting to keep it on page 1 and so on.... the clans that are not active their threads would be on the last pages and right now you could see a clan and go on their website and then find out they are not even active.

I might have some sympathy if your grammar/spelling skills was at least close to an 8th grade level.
Seriously, you will find you will recieve more support if people can understand you.

But those are the rules and right now you are a tiny fish in a large pond so you can't have individual threads for clans it would clutter up the forums

Please do not post threads about locked threads, if you have any questions PM a moderator and we'll discuss the matter.

There will be some sort of multiplayer support forum going up soon, perhaps several - unfortunately I don't know the details (the admin may still be sorting them out).

At that point it's possible we'll allow clans to have individual threads, although I suspect signature advertisemants will be more effective here - threads only stay visible while they're at the top of a forum and a clan spamming their thread to keep it on the front page will simply find the thread locked.

If a clan doesn't have their own website or forum that's their problem, not ours. I realize this may be inconvenient for someone looking to join a clan but we're not going to hold the clans' hands here. Presumably a clan that does not have a website is either pursuing other means of attracting members/attention or they are are not interested in attracting new members.
