Are their any plug in's or mods for PC's for the use of hand controllers with Oblivion. If so where do i get them to download?

Like an Xbox 360 controller?

That is natively supported, I believe, no need for a mod.

Mine never seems to work right and usually crashes the game.

That's odd. Windows has native drivers for the controller, and Oblivion has a "use joystick" option in the INI file (which is on by default). It should be fully configurable.

Does it work properly with any other games?

IIRC there are issues where the game gets conflicting inputs from mouse/keyboard versus game controller, and unplugging the controller is the usual recommended solution.

You may have to do the opposite and unplug the mouse and keyboard to get the conflicts to go away, and it may be hard to start the game like that!

At any rate, best to ask this in the Tech Support forum, since it should work without mods.

You could try someone's Crash Prevention System. That might stop it.

There was a post in Tech support that listed the settings and such to get an Xbox for PC controller set up correctly. I believe that it links a program called ControlMK as well, which lets you setup the buttons to work as whatever keystroke you wish. Worked very well for me.
