Since FONV is following the success of FO3, there's naturally going to be a lot of anticipation and hype. Throw on top the fact that Obsidian, who has many members who worked on the original Fallout 1 and 2 and the previous Fallout 3 project "Van Buren", it has also become a big draw for fans of the original storyline and those who were following the Van Buren project before it got scrapped.

Chances are if you loved FO3, there's going to be more of the same in terms of gameplay because it's basically the same engine with a multitude of new features and "tweaks" such as the availability of a hardcoe mode, an enhanced companion system, the ability to aim down the sights in 1st person view and better camera angle and ability to play and aim/shoot in 3rd person mode. There's also going to be an enhanced "reputation system" so what you do to NPC factions in the game has deeper and more far reaching consequences.

Or so they say. We'll have to play the game to see the final verdict on this and see just how deep it is.

Hype?
Yeah being hyped can be a really bad thing.
That's why I've been such a twitchy little negative ass lately.
Trying to not get too hyped.
And hell, it's working.
It's what? 22 days left or something?
Well, I don't feel the least bit anxious about it. :P
Actually, I could wait a whole another year for it. :goodjob:
