Can this be stored in saves?

Post » Mon Aug 16, 2010 9:38 am

I'm doing some pretty basic modding and I was wondering if there is anyway to store custom scripts on saved games, rather than using them as plugins.
I noticed that you can use the console command "cloneform" (with OBSE) to store most custom items in the save, but is it possible for scripts, and how would I do that if it is?

Thanks.

May I ask how exactly you would go to "write" these scripts without using the CS and its script compiler? Or I simply don't get your point.

Well I would use it, but the point is that I have created content with the construction set, then manipulated the content to be stored on the save itself.

For example, I flagged the imperial watch armor as wearable, then did cloneform so it would be stored on the save, then I could add it to my inventory with commands and then play it without the plugin file.

I'm asking if there is anyway to write a script, then duplicate it somehow so it's on the save itself.

I think an example of a situation in which this would be used would be helpful. Otherwise, I just can't see why you'd want to do this in the first place...

The real reason is because I'm trying to mod the 360 version. The things I've done with converting pc to 360 saves are pretty cool, but using custom scripts in-game would allow us to do almost anything.

LOL. I was hoping being honest about my intentions for once would not get me in trouble.

At least Bioware doesn't mind modding on the 360.

It isn't Bethesda's decision as to whether you can or can't mod on the 360 though.

Modding the XBox is against the Tos and EULA . No discussion of this is allowed on these forums.
