New Opera Browser.

Opera just updated to a new version, my first impressions are that it is fundamentally the same, but a little bit fast and has a better DIAL UP feature.

Anyone else share thoughts?

I didn't like the new speed dial at first, but I tweaked it a bit so it's kind of the same as the old one.

There hasn't really been much change at all. :(

I like the speed dial "logo finder" feature for the most part. Although if you don't like it if you make it reload every x seconds and then select never (after it fetched the other image) it won't use the logo finder. It's not the best solution and I wish there was a beter way to disable it all together or specific tabs, but it works for the time being. I also like that you can make the speed dial better fit widescreen resolutions.

I quite liked Opera when it was the browser of choice for the Psion Netbook, but it got a bit slow and fat after that. Maybe I should take another look...

There hasn't really been much change at all. :(

It's not really a major release, so that should be expected. It was just to add some improvements under the hood, not to the end-user

BTW, the biggest of which is this, IMO:

URL Filter API for Opera extensions

The URL Filter API for Opera extensions defines a DOM interface that allows extensions to add temporary rules to Opera's native content blocker. Rules added through this API are associated with an extension and apply as long as an extension is enabled. Once an extension is disabled or the browser is shut down, the temporary rules are discarded.
It defines the API that is applied to an extension browsing context.
An extension browsing context is a browsing context that implements the Opera extension interface (opera.extension).
See: URL Filter API for Opera extensions

Though it looks like there are still issues opera's extension implementation and the speed of javascript in them (extensions with extensive use of javascript are slooooooow). Also extension windows can't recieve right-clicks still, which is kinda lame at times.

As an ex-Opera, I missed a lot of sweet and unique features it has, but the speed, website incompatibility and bugs introduced in Opera 10 just annoy me. I don't know about you, but I feel Opera 9 was at its peak (when compared to other browers of that time).

There's a new update?
Haven't gotten one yet.
The last one was a month or so ago.

Didn't seem to do much though.

Overall I prefer Opera over the other browsers as I've gotten so used to it.
Going to another browser is like going to an alien planet and trying to order food at one of their restaurants.
