Pre-Order Question

Post » Thu Aug 26, 2010 5:11 am

Hey all,
I've been debating wether or not to pre-order FNV because of the fact that they come with preorder bonuses. I know that sounds silly, but I don't want to be tempted to get any "free" items or stuff that's going to alter how I play the game early on.
Any thoughts about this?

it will barely affect the way you play. you just get slightly better weapons to start with.

ps- pick the gamestop pack so you can roleplay the chosen ones son (like me)

The items would be items that help you out in the beginning before you get better things to use.It won't make it that much easier but easier than what you start out with.

If I am right, pre-ordering it on steam is cheaper than buying it after the release, so that's a bonus. And, I don't see why not, they won't affect your gameplay a lot, but it's neat to start with a few new items :)
And, pre-ordering on Steam lets you pre-load the game. So when it launches you will play right away without any installation or anything like that.

Since I was going to pre-order anyway, I sat down and thought what kind of character I wanted to make at first, and what pre-order items would suit my first play through.
I decided on making a explosives heavy character at first, and pre-ordered from Best Buy to get the grenade rifle. I figure that for all my characters after that, I'll just sell the items early on for a few extra caps.
Not a very big deal at all.
