The only thing I've ever used Twitter for is to win contests.

I know this is a bit late but I can understand that, when I was finishing high school I had a pretty tight knit group of friends too. When I got into university I found that I needed something like facebook to keep in contact/manage friendships, and it's nice knowing when people's birthdays are, what events are going on, all that kind of stuff. Pretty much what I'm saying is the further I drifted from the high school group of friends to a bunch of different groups, I found I needed something to keep it all manageable.

I use Facebook all the time to keep in contact with people. While I do have a Twitter account, I have never tweeted, just follow people/groups/organizations that I want to see good/interesting status updates. Also I hate all the little games on Facebook, never interested me.

I've don't even know what Twitter looks like, and I use Facebook to keep in touch with my friends that have graduated and moved to other states/countries.

I use facebook to chat with my friends because I live in a place with no service. Thats about its only good point.
