Played today ... on XBox, but it does have potential.
The advantage over Quake Wars is, that you can experience the whole game with good teams just as much [as with 16 people] ... I think a 4v4 is absolutely enough [for competitive play], the maps we played are very compact -> more teams -> more competition-
Contrary to popular belief about no recoil ... there is indeed some.
For my feeling the enemy dies faster than in Quake Wars once you've got him in your sights (which isn't that easy on console [as a competitive PC player])
The bodytypes are very balanced, however the Heavy was definately dominant on console, because you generally don't move as much ... this might look different on PC, though.
Handing out Buffs works fine and Objectives are self-explanatory for the most part ... so you get the drift as a beginner very easily.
You can gib with melee attacks ... unlike in QW where they had to patch it in
A demo-recorder and spectator-mode work fine according to the present Staff-members ... I didn't ask for the SDK, though
All in all a good premise for an E-Sport game.
Everything [in brackets] was added by myself. Also I'm not entirely sure what "gib/gibbing"(?) is. In the original German transcript he said "gibben", which is definately not a German word.
EDIT: Alright, apparently "to gib" means to finish of a downed/incapped player.
