Learn to suspend your disbelief.

100+ would have crashed any console or PC.

100 plus yes. But would 20 or 30 have killed pc and consoles? I myself was disseminated in the end battle. It didn't feel all that epic. However Todd has talked about dragons dive bombing towns and covering them in fire. I think we will see more epic battles in Skyrim.

You guys seem to have no imagination. Is it really THAT HARD to imagine that there are thousands of men fighting around you? Is it hard to imagine that Martin gave a speach to thousands of soldiers? Is it really impossible to imagine that cloud ruler temple has more than 10 blades guarding it?

You guys propobly think that Cyrodiil is really 16 square miles in size and that the Imperial City really does have a population of about 100.

Guys...

I am dissapoint :sadvaultboy:

Hard to pretend? No. Does that mean that if they figure out a way to make full scale battles look more full scale we will just say "No Thanks, just make it me and the bad guy and I'll imagine the rest." Hell no. I can easily pretend anything like that. Bam, I now see spears in the game. Wham, there is now spellmaking and I just cast a Rune Fire damage/ Paralyze spell. Shazam, Dragon Warrior for the NES is now a next gen 3d masterpiece with 10000 hours of fun gameplay that I play on my PS4 I got from Captain Kirk from the future.

I can pretend anything, that doesn't mean things should just be left out.

for me its not about how many people there were it more of frequency i would love to see roamingg bandit warbands, then teaming up with a retaliation guard force.

I say make sure those supposedly epic end battles make sense, otherwise leave them out and let the player character go for the kill as a lone wolf. The dirty dozen at Bruma was indeed too hilarious.

I would be happy even if there are just small skirmishes. But an actual battle at one of these open towns owuld be pretty cool.

In CGI battle films (eg: Lord of the Rings) the first row of warriors/cavalry are real actors and everyone behind them are CG duplicates.
In the game, the first row can be real NPCs, and the rest of them can be simplified guard models.

But really, big battles are not my biggest want.

Also when Martin Septim is hailed king at the Blades HQ, can the big cheer be recorded all at once, not be seperate cries layered over each other.
