Hey I keep getting this message when I verify the integrity of game cache: "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired". Does anyone have any idea what I should do? Nothing happens and it does not appear to try to download anything. Every time I verify it says the same thing. Thanks.

Yeah the same happens to me, tryed validating 5 times, restarted steam before each attempt.

That happened to me. I waited about a week and it finally went away.

A lot of steam games will do this, it doesn't mean you are actually missing a file.

Games play fine even when it does this, so it has nothing to do with any game errors you might be having. L4D1 and 2 both do this to me as did some other games, with no issues.

i have the same problem but its getting annoying....2 days and no improvement :brokencomputer: and i have experianced this on games like l4d2 and mw2 but only like 1 or 2 files not 1 file everytime i try
