The game crashes when I try to barter with any trader

Post » Sun Sep 12, 2010 8:31 pm

Hello, I have a Steam version of the Fallout: New Vegas. It was all good and awesome until the second patch... The save games are loading just fine, but after the second patch there is a warning message, that some items are no longer present in the game. And now when I try to trade with any trader, the game crashes to the desktop! I can go anywhere, do whatever I want, talk with anybody, etc... But I cannot trade, because trade = CTD now!

If you buy caravan cards your game could crash. The cards are bugged

Thanks for the tip, but it doesn't help me :( I kicked all the cards out of my inventory, but the game still crashes when I try to barter. And I just noticed that it also crashes when I'm browsing my weapons section in inventory! I've started a new game and it runs great - there are no crashes at all! My guess is that the recent patch has changed something in the game items, and now this changed (or bugged) item is in my inventory and causing the game to crash... Damn, I hate to start a new game at this point - over 17 hours played already!

I have the same thing happening. Anytime i interact with something it sounds like a broken record for a sec. sometimes it crashes sometimes it doesnt. I might start a new game. Well i know ill do that its just a matter of time.
