Battlehorn Trainer Problem : IV

I've played through several times with this plugin loaded and have never had this problem before: basically when I talk to the trainer, the only conversation topic he has is rumors - I don't get the "spar with me" option. It's only 10:30 in the morning, so he should be offering services. I tried talking to him before I had purchased all the upgrades and then again afterwards - no dice. I have the UOMP loaded, but I've always had it loaded and have never had a problem. There are a couple of things that are a bit different this time: I tried cleaning the DLC Battlehorn plugin, my mod installation has been a little bit piece-meal because there were some mod upgrades released while I was playing (you guys are too busy!) and I disabled a stool in the barracks that was showing through a chest (right next to the captain's bed). I disabled the stool in-game with the console, not the CS. I posted this in another forum, but never got a reply. I'm posting here in case it's a problem with my cleaning attempt (I followed the instructions in the CS wiki), a mod conflict or even a bug in the UOMP, although I doubt it, or even disabling the stool!

Has anybody ever seen something like this?

Well I found a solution to this, but I'm afraid the solution leaves me more puzzled than the problem! Basically the GREETING topic for the DLCBattlehornCastle quest doesn't include a response for the Battlehorn Trainer. I did a small patch to add the response and now it works. The part that has me puzzled is why in the hundreds of hours I've played with this plugin, this has never happened before! Maybe it was a bug that just needed the right conditions to be triggered - don't know. I'm actually one of the lucky ones that didn't have to pay for this plugin because I downloaded it when Beth was offering it for free when they first released it - that's how long I've played with it. I've also played through a couple of times with the unofficial patch installed and SM's plugin delayer...

Anyway, if the trainer works for you, I'd leave it alone, but if you have a similar problem, check the GREETING topic...
