Weird issue - NPC's and PC "teleporting" on hit

Post » Sat Sep 25, 2010 3:02 pm

Suddenly both NPC's and the PC are transported/teleported short distances on hit. My char hit a vampire with a sword and he disappeared - and was in the next room. This happened a couple of times and then my char was transported when hit, first to another corridor and then to the void outside the cell.

Hasn't happened before and I'm unsure what it might be. My prime suspect is the Less Knockback feature in Phitt's Phighting Phixes, but that's just a vague hunch so I don't want to post in that thread.

1. It's recently added which seems to fit in with the issue being new.
2. Also, I've used it for a while w/o issues but changed the Less Knockback settings in the ini to vanilla just before loading the save in which it happened.

Should I do a clean save after changing the ini? Or wait for a respawn? Seems unlikely. Or is it something entirely different? Any ideas?

That's really odd issue that you have run into Arkngt. :banghead:

The only advice I can give you is to have a clean before and after changing the ini file just in case. :)

Definitely seems connected to Phitt's Phighting Phixes and more precisely, I guess, the Less Knockback settings/change. I loaded the save without PPP in order to make a clean save and had no issues. Except dying three times in five minutes because of StarX vampires...

I'll try loading PPP with vanilla settings for Less Knockback again after getting through this dungeon alive.
