Caravan: what do you think?

Post » Sun Oct 03, 2010 10:16 pm

All right, i'm making this thread so people can discuss caravan: the card game designed especailly for NV. I personally have played a few games with my friend and, other then the vague rules, had a lot of fun with it.
What do you think of it? Has anyone developed any strategies? What kind of loopholes/problems need to be fixed? this is essentially for any and all general caravan discussion.

EDIT: sorry i didnt know there were other threads i probably shouldve checked :\
EDIT: Some important questions regarding the rules are answered in this thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1115359-how-to-play-caravan/

Official rules can be found here: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/111/1119257p1.html

There have been a few on Caravan, but they die pretty quickly.

Anywho. I'll just wait until New Vegas comes out and play it there xD.

My thread lasted a few days and Josh answered several questions on how to play...
http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1115359-how-to-play-caravan/page__p__16374764__fromsearch__1&#entry16374764 simply so some people get a small idea how to play
(It uses the same link for the rules, but Josh answers alot of things that may be confusing)

In general, most of my characters will be staying away from gambling, mostly because I'd rather make my money through quests and looting.

Caravan does, however, intrigue me. It's interesting that they made their own cardgame specifically for this game.

yeah you can use any standard deck of playing cards you want. It says you need two decks because each player has to make a deck of 30 cards.
