I must have another FO3!

Wahh Shtreet gangster, here. I am an old, spazzy player, and I love the exploration in FO3. I'm not really excited to hear that New Vegas is not in that vein. So, what games are there now that combine the awesome graphics of FO3 with the immense exploration that Bethesda has perfected? Are there any, RPG or FPS, that would give me the same thrills? Crysis looks pretty good, but it's not an exploration game, certainly.

Fallout New Vegas.

Ever try the Jak games for the PS2? While they aren't open world RPG's, I assure you that the exploration in those games will leave you more then satisfied. The world is open in a Zelda style. You can revisit dungeons and areas after you play through them.

I found X3 kinda brutal for people that never played of game of that sort. The controls I wasn't good at. They weren't clear at all , for some reason the gold edition had no section for the controls. Personally I bet it is a good game but I never had the time to master everything in it.

I honestly think FNV has a much more interesting wasteland. FO3 seemed to have a ton of look a like areas with nothing that special about them while NV is the opposite. Also the invisible walls have not been that big of a problem, I have only ran into a few and most of the time theres a path close by.

I agree. I like traversing the NV wasteland more. I did encounter more than a "few" invisible walls though

Agreed.

I found that while Fallout 3 did have more o' those random disconnected places to explore, in the long run none of those rewarded my efforts. Most of them felt like just another random themepark ride. And I guess part of the reason I felt the exploring was unrewarding, was the way characterprogression, the overall structure of the game, and difficulty were handled, where nothing I did really mattered.
