Is there a way to find out what NPCs have what spells in-gam

Post » Fri Oct 08, 2010 10:08 pm

I use Superior Magicka, LAME and Midas Magic, plus FCOM and a few other mods. My game is usually pretty stable, but sometimes when I'm fighting bandits or marauders, one of them casts a spell, gets the purple and red daedric summoning swirling effect, and then the game crashes. If I could figure out what spell it is, I could go delete it or turn off auto-calc so they can't cast it, but as it is, I can't even check by spell effect because the game crashes before it takes effect. :P

Does anyone know of a way to do that, or another way around it that I'm not thinking of?

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862 can show you what spells a particular NPC has and what mods they're from.

Excellent. Thanks!

Edit: Huh. They don't actually have any spells.

Though looking at http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=215018&st=0 on TEXNexus, it might be related to Race-Balancing Project's (well, Cobl's integration of such, in my case) new orc berserker powers, as it does only seem to happen with orcs.

Just a note in case anyone else runs into a similar problem--it was the orc berserker power. Going into the CS and removing the scripts added by Cobl - Race Balance stopped the crashes when the orcs used berserk. :)

I made a topic about that here, but nobody responded. You only need to remove one script. You do not have to get rid of the one script.

You mean that I don't need to delete the script entirely, just its reference in the orc racial power, correct? That's what I did (I was a bit unclear in the previous post).

Well, I took out all three because I'm not playing an orc. :P

'Actor Details' by kuertee is easier to use, at least for me. It gets the actors active effects and spells. Direct to the console to see in game. And if you have 'Conscribe' installed it makes a log with all the info.
