NVSE not found?

Post » Mon Oct 11, 2010 2:28 am

So I got everything set up and installed for NVAMP, rebuilt the patch etc, etc. When I load the game everything is fine except I get a message that one or more of my mods requires NVSE and that it is not found? I downloaded it while DL'ing all the other things on NVAMP's list, I put it where the installation instructions told me to.....am I missing something? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

DISREGARD, I'm an idiot! Forgot that I have to load the game through FOMM!

Did you read the readme for NVSE? Here's is the important part of the installation instructions...

"[ Installation ]

1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Fallout NV directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas\. If you see files named FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for modders, most users can ignore it."

What version of FONV and FVSE are you using?

This is what should be in your FONV folder along with FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe

nvse_steam_loader.dll
nvse_loader.exe
nvse_editor_1_1.dll
nvse_1_1.dll

Also, where do you have FOMM installed?, and did you click on "Settings" in FOMM
and set the paths to your Mod Directory, New Vegas Directory, and the Install Info Directory?

You are probably running an old version of Companion Disguise. Just download the new version, and it should fix it. Else, your only option is to go through your mods and figure out, which one's causing the problem.
