Has anyone here ever played a RTS browser based game?

About a year ago I discovered this wicked game called Utopia Kingdoms and I instantly became addicted to it. it was browser based and free. The way it worked was you would build buildings, troops, and launch attacks against other players, but everything would literally take several real life hours. And you could even go as far as picking troop formation. It was amazing because it would force you check on you stuff several times a day at different hours.

Here is the thing, I stopped playing and when I felt like going back and playing again i found out they actually changed the game, and instead of being 'browser based' now it is an app on facebook :banghead: . I hate facebook, specially for games like this.

Anyways, if anyone is familiar with this types of games, can you recommend something similar to me?

I don't know if its similar, but Bang! Howdy is browser based. Not entirely sure if its multiplayer. I think it is, Threerings normally makes multiplayer games.

The only other thing I can think of that would require you to check in at different times like that is eRepublik, but that's a social management sim.

Dark Legions is a pretty fun RTS game. I think it is either freeware or very inexpensive.

Here is a gameplay video (Be warned this video contains extremely annoying music that is not from the game )

I was going to mention Evony, but I see that's already been taken care of. By utopia kingdoms, do you mean the game by "Jolt"?(formerly owned by Swirve(mehul patel)? I'm pretty sure they still have the standard Utopia that's browser based(I can't imagine the fan-base would ever let them get rid of traditional Utopia, it's been around since 199x)

I never played any browser game, only thing I can think of is Runescape. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

My son loves Club Penguin, I guess those are browser games, or Pogo?
