Flamboyant Hat keeps crashing everytime i put it on. : IV

Im playing oblivion put the hat on and then it crashes. Is this mod just not created right? Does anyone know the solution? If so please tell me.

Oh, I see. Well do you have Shivering Isles installed? Or any other mods for that matter?

EDIT:
If you look through the comments on http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2973, a lot of people were complaining of crashes when equipping the hat. The author acknowledged them, said he didn't know what the problem was, and that his mods are inactive at the time being.

So actually, its a problem with the mod itself that the author needs to fix.
