While watching a Daggerfall trailer, I heard a nice song and I was wondering if it is Daggerfall's theme music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_MY0ihuJZc is the trailer. Is it Daggerfall's theme song? Does Daggerfall even have a theme song? What about Arena?

That is Antonin Dvorak's Suite in A Major, "American Suite", Op. 98b. It's the final Allegro movement. It never appears in the game, and I can't really say that I consider any song to be the "theme song" of Daggerfall.

I consider the menu music in the Daggerfal demo to be the Daggerfall theme song, which is a bit funny, cause just like American Suite, it's not in the main game.

I was rather disappointed when I noticed that Daggerfall doesn't have any menu music when you start the game, like the demo

I don't even remember the menu music from the demo.
But in my archive of Daggerfall music, there are some songs which I never heard in the game. Ever. Must be one of them.

Do you remember, it was on The Essensial Site, there were 2 or 3 songs in midi format where someone remade classic songs using the HALT sound effect. By giving the HALT a different pitch, he could create notes.
I think Beethoven's 4th Symphony was one of them.



Oh yes. At least once, or sometimes twice, I get the urge to read it all again. Especially the developers' "What is the story?" chapter, from where I quoted my sig. Heh, I like that quote because, in a way, they're describing the opposite of Oblivion.

I also enjoy their philosophy on the "replay the save game strategy". That you can go on with having made mistakes is part of why I love this game.

I like that song as well. Another one of my favorites is the song played in the Mages' Guild.

I think I prefer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhk8T1ejU9g. There are some great arrangements of these songs on the DaggerXL forums. A couple of the regulars decided to do recordings of all the music from the game, some with impressive artistic license.

I always play DF music even in MW. The remastered versions give a new feeling, plus the night music is the only one so far that has creeped me out seriously while playing it, once.
