Ok so one thing atm is realllly confusein me (it dosnt take much) is the ability to change your class mid match,
Now i dont understand if you can change your class during a match whats the need for 10 charcter slots ? if your charcter can be any class? , im confused by all of this :sadvaultboy:
I Had in my head that each "charcter" had a set class .

Each does have a set class, depending on how you level him up. How well will a character with all engineer skills fare a soldier? Or a Medic?

Its just there for the guys who want to make a "Jack of all trades, Master of none" class. Each character should be focused on one particular class.

Hope that helps.

Ok so if what you are asking is if you can switch characters mid match the answer is no.

But, you can change your class mid match. And character you make (via 10 save slots) can be any class.

I think that I will also participate in this expain
You cannot have all skills on 1 character, that means your operative characer, who will have few medic skills(so you can change to medic sometimes) wont have any Soldier/Engi skills, because you cannot have them all

Yes you can change class mid game. You have many characters because each class has its specific skills, and you can't unlock all the skills for all classes in a single character.
So with multiple characters you can create one that has many soldier and medic skills for example, so when you switch that character class ingame from one to the other, you'll have many skilss at your disposal. If you changed class to operative, you'd only have the basic abillities.

Hope that answers your question.

Edit: Oh i see you already got it :)

No, it's there for strategical purposes.

There are 3 of your men down and you're an engineer?
Become a medic and help your team.

There are turrets all over the enemy bases and you're a soldier?
Become an operative and hack those things.

While I agree, your still not going to perform very well as any classes other then your primary. Sure, if something as drastic as that is going on by all means change classes, but you should most likely switch back as soon as possible.

Soldiers with Satchel charges could take out the turrets.. Just sayin'. :whistling:

I think dual-class characters are going to be close enough to matching a full specialist, given the "maximum 3 active abilities" restriction.

They won't be AS powerful at their chosen classes, but they'll be MUCH more versatile.

You have to go to a command post to change classes. So you don't have to leave the game but you can;t do it on the fly.
You can change controls on the fly without leaving the game however.

Our Video interview with Ed Stern he mentions this and this is consistent with how it was in enemy territory.
