Skyrim will probably be the only game I ever go to a midnight release for.

With all due respect to BGS an TES as a franchise,I never have nor will go to a release of any game. I like gaming so very much and it is my favorite pass time, but there should be a good healthy balance between gaming and RL. Therefore freezing my nuts out in the cold to buy a game is not an option.

Paying for a game is all the hommage Bethesda wants and will get from me. Win - win.

Also about the topic title, who will be outside GameStop stores at this time anxiously waiting to run in and get this epic? I know I will be. That is if GameStop will have a midnight opening for this game. I wouldn't doubt it.

Nope. Pre-order. I'll be checking my mailbox 3 times every day between 11.11.04 and 11.11.11 instead :P.

No, probably not. I havent decided if I will get a Steam copy or not. If the game is tied to Steam for hardcopies as well, then I will just buy it from Steam anyway and preload it a couple days prior to unlock. Then at midnight it will be ready. But if the hard copy just comes with a simple disk check, then I would most certainly go with that method instead.

Wonder about this myself, only problem is that steam exchange 1€ for 1$ making games in Europe 1.5 times more expensive. if you live in an European country who don't use euro they first exchange to euro then do the 1€ for 1$ scam. This makes games bought in stores cheaper.
Now if they don't get the game on Saturday I will buy it on steam anyway to be able to play the weekend.

When my preorder comes through, I will be fumbling with the box in excitement, probably drop the disc on it`s way to my Xbox 360,
I`ll fire it up and probably sit and stare at the trailer in awe for a couple of minutes, then I`ll start a new game and probably spend about half an hour just playing around with char gen, while shouting in glee when adjusting all the features for my Nord.
Once that is complete, I will watch with rapt attention as the intro is played out and then..i`ll be so zoned in on my first few footsteps of my new Conan lookalike, that i`ll be completely ignoring the wife telling me that dinner is ready..

1 week off work and 1 copy of skyrim = good times!!

Pretty sure we'll be there. Nov. 11 is my husband's birthday, and I'm sure we'll want to celebrate it properly. Sleep is good, but Gamestop doesn't open till 10:00 a.m. ...
