TES all combined game?

Post » Fri Oct 29, 2010 9:44 am

If all of the games were put together (Including Skyrim) then that would be the best game ever! If bethesda upgraded the graphics in Morrowind and Oblivion to match that of Skyrim then they would have a pretty good game right there. Maybe they could keep some of the old quests from the games too? (Then again wouldn't that kind of destroy the entire purpose of doing the quests in the actual game?)

Anyways that would be pretty cool considering the fact that they would be bringing back some of my favorite cities. (Also it would be pretty sick if they could bring back Daggerfall!!)

What I would like, is for them to fix things wrong with arena, redguard, daggerfall, battlespire, make all of thses games compatible with modern computers. Then box them all with Morrowind and Oblivion with all expansion.

I've thought of this myself. It's probably never going to happen - not worth it to the company and way too much work for modders - but it does sound cool.

Well, if they just go through the maps and update the graphics then they could probably do it. Mod people made Morrowind in Oblivion... (Well enough that you could enter the province, not the whole thing)

How about they just make The Elder Scrolls VI?

I actually want an open world space exploration game before elder scrolls VI...though I agree.

i dont think its as easy as it..even porting morrowind into oblivion was a bit of a stretch, and those engines and file types were almost exactly the same.

it cannot happen for arena and daggerfall. daggerfall was randomly generated, and was massive to boot. the gamebryo engine cant do that much generation, plus the load time would be phenomenal(ly bad).

Exactly. They couldn't do the whole thing. It is just not worth it to do so. Also the physics engines are totally different, so you just can't put Morrowind's physics, with Oblviions physics, as was asked numerous times before. You were not the first, and you will not be the last to ask this. :)

It is not an easy thing to do, or it WOULD have been done now by modders. Since the closest thing we have is Morblivion or what ever it's called, you can see it takes alot more work than previously thought.

'Pretty good', I admire your modesty. :P
Seriously though no matter how awesome it would be, it would take so long and be very expensive to make such a huge game with graphics comparable to Oblivion.
And though I don't know much about the concept itself, i'd say it'd be pretty hard to port everything onto Oblivions engine.
:(

The idea makes for a nice fantasy though.

I was totally thinking this as I read the back stories of all the games in the January issue of Game Informer!

It would be impossible since the scaling of the provinces are different in each game.
