If you keep spawning polls with no promotion for deep discussion about each subject in particular then that may be considered spam. Just a heads up.

Edit: But I′m pretty new here so I can′t be sure.

They do it on a daily basis but there needs to be some good reasoning about their discussion, a simple "I want X" does not really suffice that well, I may be wrong but if I understand it right more preferable topics go along the lines of "I want X because of Z, let us discuss this" where people would bring up different points of view to the subject, "I think you are right because of Y" and "I think you are wrong because of Q".

Edit: Again I′m a bit fresh to these forums so I may be wrong, but that is how many other forums have been that I′ve frequented.

If we're concerned with why there aren't more discussions going on in these poll threads... why, then, are we not DISCUSSING?

I want all those things.

Every last one of them. Even sea creatures. I dig me some Horker-Burger. Commence communications!

Because those topics/polls are trying to achieve what the entire forum was made to do. The skyrim forums are basically a large thread that brances off into smaller threads made by the people. I′m not even going to try and respond to it all because it would take way too much time to talk about everything at once, that′s why we have different topics, so we can narrow each discussion down and discuss each particular topic with more depth.

I did like Morrowind's handful of sea creatures. It was made even better by the folks who made all kinds of new beasties for the game as well (slaughtersharks, fishes of all sorts, even one of those unicorn of the sea things, whose name I can never remember).

As for unbreakable lockpicks... I think there should definitely still be the 'Skeleton Key'. It's not just a LOCKPICK... it's a Daedric Artifact. I'm all about artifacts. I think we should be able to collect all the known artifacts, really... but I doubt that that's very fair to the developers to demand.

As for respawning loot?

They had it in Oblivion. I say keep it up.

Will you PLEASE stop spamming this forum with senseless polls? You made at least 3 of them today, and most of the lists of questions are things that have their own topics already.

The Skeleton Key ("unbreakable lockpick") has been around since Arena. I will be very unhappy if it is not in Skyrim.

Lol, Lousic has moved his spam polls and infamous respawn questions from the Zuxxez forums to the TES ones

No Necro's. Riddike took care of them ;)

Unbreakable lockpick, yes, but extremely difficult to get

Random loot, yes, respwan, yes. Shoot, AD&D 1st ed. even had this. There are just way too many containers to fill by hand. BUT there needs to be more "specials".

Sea Creatures, sure...make the water more intersting.

I just don't want an unbreakable lock pick.
Unless the quest to get it is rediculously difficult. Only the greatest of thieves can accomplish.

I like regular chests to be random loot but each or most dungeons should have a special chest or area that contains a unique piece of loot.

Yes to all (precautionary flamer disclaimer: just because I want generic/random loot, doesn't mean I want it all to be like that).

Bethesda has already had three years to glean what the masses want from Oblivion General Discussion and Oblivion Mod Discussion. They took a lot too as far as I can tell Skyrim is chock full of Oblivion mods. It's way past any sort of time frame for adding anything. 9 months to release leaves a very tight schedule for alpha stage, beta stage, Q&A stage and then print. We're all just killing time here and I for one have no illusions that anything on this board will be even remotely considered for this game.

If you want to make a difference in how a Bethesda game is developed then hang around this community for a few years after release and tell everyone exactly how you feel about Skyrim after you have played it. If your a PC, mod it and show Bethesda just how popular your ideas are by supporting the mods that make them happen or better yet make them happen yourself by learning to mod.

That is what makes this community so great. Hope to see you here for years to come as we all help to shape what will be TES 6.

Long Live the Bethesda Game Modding Community.

Necromancer guild? Yes please! During my oblivion playthrough I tried so hard to yield to the necromancers the mages sent me to kill. I tried to reason with them but they wanted my skeleton.

I want random loot in dungeons. They said that those radiant story things would have loot tailored to the player (I think) but I don't really want that. I'd rather have equipment I can really use in 1 out of every 5 dungeons I explore, that way it seems more meaningful to explore every cave. No respawning loot.

The skeleton key. I use it, but it is very VERY cheap. I created a mage character and lockpicking was very low on my skill list. When I got the skeleton key however, I could open anything with enough clicks of the auto-try button. It kind of broke that mini-game for me. I wouldn't want another skeleton key. There is alteration with open lock spells after all.

Sea creatures would be great. Something besides scuttlefish (or whatever their called) and mudcrabs. The camouflaged creatures in shivering isles were pretty good, but I'd like to see water ONLY creatures. Nothing HUGE like the loch ness monster but a few deadly creatures in the seas.

I would also want a necromancer guild, or some kind of necromancer community i could interact with besides fighting.

The skeleton key needs more restrictions, maybe having to be repaired or a pain to get. Or something only a thief could do.

The lakes/sea enemies need more variety, i liked that giant slaughter fish you could find in oblivion, if only they used him more than just as a little easter egg. I also want to feel more vulnerable in the lakes, but not crippling so.(unless you can breathe underwater)

The thing I liked about the Skeleton Key in Morrowind, was that you had to essentially be THE master thief to get it.

And then it had a limited number of uses. Which was insanely HIGH, mind you...

... in fact, I'm not sure, but I think there may have been more uses than locked chests and doors throughout the majority of the game. Which would basically mean you could unlock every locked door in the game, and -then- unlock doors you'd locked yourself before running out...

Yes the only problem with the skeleton key was that it gave you +40 to your security skill who was pretty redundant as you could just press auto lockpick some seconds to open a door with it anyway.
the +40 was actually a debuff as it made it far harder to raise security and get +5 in Agility. together with a drain security on self 100 for 2 seconds spell it was nice to train with.

To the above poster I know it's ur choice, but that "training" is just cheating. Summoning a creature and making it hit you is training, debuffing then auto-pickin is just cheap and unrewarding , each to his own I spoz, but I'd prefer less exsloitable things.

Only if you can't autopick, defies the point of locks...Even if it's easy anyway.

Limited uses and no auto pick. Plz!!!

I just wanted to clarify something I answered yes to.

I checked 'Yes' to Having Random Loot, and for Random Loot to respawn in dungeons. If loot does not respawn randomly, then there would be no more reason to venture into that dungeon. However, I believe there should be unique items/artifacts not related to any main quest or sidequest, that can be found by exploring or reading book on particular artifact, which leads you to said dungeon. These unique artifacts should not be respawnable.

Unbreakable lockpicks?? Never again. Yes on all other of those, but NOT unbreabable lockpicks. Why not just have nothing locked instead? It's the same thing..
