So who here is plaing to get the guide book?

I am.
Dunno how I will use it though.
Don't want to get too spoiled.
So will skim through it for a couple of minutes sometimes until I've finished my first playthrough.
Then I will look at some stuff more extensively.
But still not too much.
Then after the second and third playthrough I will read it inside out.

I waited till the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 came out before buying the guide, I'll do the same with New Vegas. I don't expect to complete New Vegas for a while once it's out, having a guide right at the beginning won't feel right to me.

And the first edition of Fallout 3's guide was regarded as pretty bad while the GOTY edition was a lot better, the same might happen for New Vegas.

Im not, no fun knowing where everything is right away, i want to explore. I near ruined a lot of things for myself in Fallout 3 by looking them up online. Discovering it yourself like I did On the first two is a much more rewarding experience.

Want to but not enough money. Though since I will have to wait I'll try to get the GOTY edition when it comes out.

No guidebook for me, after a few playthroughs I might consult the Wiki since it's a lot cheaper not to mention updated along with patches and changes.

Maybe I oughta keep that in a Notepad document on my desktop to paste into the almost-daily http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1117524-would-you-buy-the-guide-before-the-game-is-out/. Would save me some time. :shrug:

Since the thread is asking who IS getting the guide, and you're NOT.... You'd save even more time by simply not posting in these threads... Right?

I AM getting the guide, in fact, have already paid for the Hardcover version... Should be in my hands shortly after release day. :celebration:

Nope. I'll write my own notes on some paper and make it my own Wasteland Survival Guide
The guide spoils the game...

If your careful, you can read the guide with out spoiling it, old boy. Or at least get what I want out of it, without spoiling it.

I found with FO3 the best part was exploring and finding all the cool stuff myself like the large weapon stashes etc i would find having a guide to tempting to quickly find all the good weapons and take that thrill away from F:NV
