New Bethesda Podcast!

No real info. Pete think Skyrim's best new features are the no-class and leveling systems, about which we already know.

Oh, thanks for that.

I want to download them but HOW do i download them>

Yeah once you click on that link, if the podcast doesn't start on it's own, there should be a little play button in the lower-corner.

Not a ton of Skyrim info, but very cool info on Pete - I love it when they humanize the staff, it makes them seem less nebulous and more like good folks working hard for our games. :)

I think that we will see a little more before E3 because Todd said that they will release gameplay soon and I don't consider E3 soon

The one part I love most about Bethesda is the involvement they have in the community. It really goes to show that they stand by what they say. Keep these podcast's coming cause they are just awesome to listen to.

You can also right click http://download.zenimax.com/bethblog/podcast/TheBethesdaPodcast_07.mp3 and choose "Save Link As..." (the wording might vary in other browsers; Firefox here) to download the mp3 file directly.

Didn't Pete or someone say there will be a video released in a month with an "r" in it? E3 is in June and June ain't got no "r"s.

If he wasn't sure about it or if something had changed since then he would have deleted it just like he did with his original "free games for life comment" concerning the 11/11/11 baby.

He didn't delete it I just checked his twitter and it still says...

"Seen this? http://bit.ly/fonSmM Well, it's legit. The reward? How about a key that gives every Bethesda game ever, past or future, on Steam?"

Did we get any gameplay videos (any videos of the games at all) before the trailer was released for either Oblivion or Fallout 3?
I don't remember...

Pretty sure the first gameplay videos of Oblivion were released in March or April of 2005.

That's not the original comment. i have a twitter account and follow DCDeacon. He posted the idea as a quip on twitter before it made it to BethBlog.

Yea and he kept the message that not only confirms that it's legit but also reveals the reward for the contest.

In the original comment he just said "free games for life" which he then deleted and reposted with more defined parameters(Steam code). The point is if something he posts on his twitter account is not true and could be held against him he would delete it. Given how many time it's been quoted here i think it's safe to say he stands behind the statement. If it was about game play mechanics I might doubt it but not regarding media scheduling. He is after all head of PR and marketing so I'd say he is a master at this after 11 years, knows exactly what the schedule is and if he says in a month with an "r" in it then you can bet on it.
