Desert Rose OOC thread 2

Post » Mon Nov 08, 2010 3:53 pm

Thanks for adding the tag! ;)

By the way, I haven't played Daggerfall, so I wouldn't know the difference. But I am indeed a fan of werewolves and vampires, so I am sure I will enjoy it anyway! Damn, I am so creating a character to play Bloodmoon... is there a required level though? Or can it be started from stake 0? :|

And I am sorry for the minor off-topic...

And relating to you and Kraven... a mini-Dragon Break? xD Or maybe Kraven stumbled on a root and fell into a "wormhole"... jk lol

Spoiler
thought so. So kraven didn't live during the last one, i suppose ? :P

Spoiler
Kraven was never among the "humans". His part in the Bloodmoon event is entirely different. It will parallel the Nevarine, but in a different manor that won't really contradict canon. If you are reading my fanric(I've seen you around ;)) then it will be revealed soon in my next chapters. But I can't say too much.

EDIT: Oh, you mean the one in the second era? No, not really. He was part in the latest one though. Some werewolves have been frozen in you remember in the last quest of Bloodmoon. THey have bene kept in the glacier for a thousand years ready to be awakened again. A whole new defintion of Immortal.

I won't spoil it. All I am going to say is that if your a fan of werewolves, you will enjoy it. Bloodmoon werewolves and daggerfall werewolves are different. How? I won't say. But it has to do with the Bloodmoon ritual.

Nothing in the RP. It's because Kraven is a character in my fanfic, and he played a major part in Bloodmoon(Not how you may think in comparison of the Nevaraine). But the Bloodmoon events took place before Kraven ventured to live in Valenwood. I should of checked the timeline before adding him in the RP. -_-

Maybe he also has the ability to jump back and forth in time? :P

Spoiler
yes I know they have been rfrozen in, or some of them. .
and yes I have been reading your fan fic, but I'm sorry to say i haven't read it since two weeks, because i'm reading a book for school, reading this rp and eventually I'll get things mixed up. as soon as the book for school is done i'm going to catch up on your fan fic. I'm trying to play through morrowind again.

but the bloodmoon events won't have anything to do with the rp ?

Oh, just when I was starting to think of Kraven as some kind of super-human demi-god...

It's alright. We all have been busy. Usually I take a day off just to read stories online when I can't do it in the daily basis. And your latter question; No, because Bloodmoon only takes place in Solshteim. Not anywhere else in Tamriel.

I assure you, he is not all that powerful, even if he is a Lycanthrope. He is vulnerable to silver and normal weapons as well. He just has increased hearing and senses. If I made him appear too powerful, I can dim it down a bit. I also plan to injure him in the confrontation with the khajiit as well. So he won't be too OP.

Edited: A bit of sarcasm, but it's meant to be taken as a compliment. ;)

Kraven is awesome (but since he's not a demi-god, I'll stick to my worship of Lord Sheogorath, Todd Howard, and Spongebob Squarepants. (yeah, I totally worship a yellow sea-sponge.) )

I'm sure it has been asked, but I'm not so sure it has been answered. What kind of fortress are staying at? Small wooden one or stone or what?

Actually, it hasn't been clarified, to my knowledge. But most of us seem to be under the assumption that it is made of stone...

Totally off topic, but you remember the episode where Squidward told Spongebon and Patrick to make noise with their tongues when they guarded Mr. Krab's matress? It was like "Looolooolooolooo."

I totally used that in the RP.

A large stone fort seems unlikely IMO

Well, how bout it looks something like this:

Not to big, not to small.

As a temporary fort? :o

I guess if it was built in the early stages of the war it would be plausible but if it is supposed to be something set up as you pulled back to Valenwood that seems impossibly large to be made by Bosmer who I don't think are exactly crack masons and engineers.

EDIT: Besides, that fort in the pic could probably withstand a large army that isn't armed with gun powder (which we aren't).

I said like that, not excatly like that :P

And I didn't know it would be a fort hastily built by the Bosmer, in which case, a wooden one would be much more plausible.

Edit: How about just a small wooden palisade?

Thank you.

I do read books in english from time to time, if i can't find them in dutch. sometimes I struggle too to find the correct words.

I'm thinking of doing a little trip to Heimthor, if there is no town closer to the fortress, to stock up on food and other important items. But is it doable? how far is it, does khajiit accept no bosmer anymore, even if they (pretend) are not in the valenwood army?

Gavril, there is a town nearby, and I think the villagers are friendly to Bosmer (maybe Ni! refered it? not sure). It's called Thaira, and your camp is close to it I think. Check the OP on this thread.

Map where the RP takes place:

http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/9264/elsweyrdesertrosemap.jpg

Yes

So, are we in that little triangular bit of land in between the river and the road that leads to the town of Thaira?

Yes

Edit: How about just a small wooden palisade?

Sorrrta... A small Palisade wall (made from fallen, rotting logs (Green Pact friendly)) with canvas tents and stuff on the inside is how I envisioned it.

It's your fault. You didn't have to be a Bosmer :P
Wow, time for another thread already!
